I'm sure there are some settings I need in Stretch that need to be setup. I have tested LibreELEC on a RP3 B+ for several weeks and it works perfectly as a frontend to my MythTV backend PVR. There are times when I think it would be useful to have access to other apps on the RP3 so I've tested Raspbian with Kodi as an app. LibreELEC is pretty much JUST Kodi on a barebones OS. It's as close as you can get to a Kodi operating system. It's possible to do other things with the OS, but I think I will give LibreELEC a try since OSMC seems to be too much for my pi1 from time to time (freezes). List of Kodi-related OS that I can remember are: - LibreELEC 8 - Peach Pi TV - Recalbox OS - Batocera - OSMC - OpenELEC - Geexbox - Happi - RetroPie - DietPi (install kodi via dietpi-software command line) - Arch or Pixel/Raspbian. I had Kodi on installed on my Raspbian and some videos didn't work. I read OpenELEC is optimized for Kodi and indeed, these videos work fine on this distribution.
